"So was I," Lancelot interjects. He isn't sure how common knowledge it is with the rest of the Night Council, but Sylvia at least is sure to know. He can't recall if he ever admitted it directly, but she has all the pieces. He doesn't doubt she's aware of it. "Those who raised us do not always represent our sympathies. If anything, they can embitter a grudge. My childhood was taken from me by Seelie fae, they ripped me from my home and threw me back when they tired of me. I have defended our territories as fiercely as anyone else has against the fae when they chose to try and take it. Nancy has nothing left. No fae has come to rescue her now. If she wished to run to their arms she would have. I know how the Night Council feels about the fae, I understand it. I respect it. I have worked to enforce it. By forgiving Nancy her past, including a childhood she had no choice in, you are showing that turning your back on both the fae and dark magic is something to be encouraged and rewarded."
